About Me
- Name: Just a peasant
- Location: in the Land of the Lotus Eaters
First a bass guitarist, then a biologist, now college faculty, as well as a medical student, and still anonymous. But it is still quite an adventure and I would rather die a man of great knowledge than a man of great wealth - even if it means living as a peasant.

Hi Just-a-Peasant, I usually got seasick just by watching a boat that goes up and down in the harbour. But the sailing boat on your photo seems to be on a perfectly silent water. I think even I could stay there on board (but what to do on a sailing boat with no wind ?)
greetings
Michael
Hi Michael. Yeah, the water you see is on the island side of the reef so its calm. Most sailboats do have a motor in case there is no wind. A sailboat is a really nice place to sleep - when the water is not too rough of course! FYI - if you're ever on a boat and feel seasick move to the aft (rear) where there is less motion.
Dear Just-a-Peasant, not sure if hold back my recent reply, for its unsavory hypothesis. But maybe it just did not got through the web. My concern following your advise to stay in the rear of the boat to prevent sea-sickness is based on the assumption that on a sailing-boat you usually have the wind blowing from the rear, so when I stand right there at the boats rear and and I have to throw up (i.e. drive the porcelain bus), the wind will blow it all into my face !!!
Therefore, I am afraid that your advise is one of the many jokes which mariners use to fool landlubbers like me.
best greetings, merry X-mas and a Happy New Year
Michael
Hahaha! That's certainly a possibility if your aim is a bit off. No, I don't have a comment filter so something else must have happened. I really do appreciate comments as they remind me I am not living in a vacuum and I am still part of the human endeavor.
Happy Holidays to you too!
