A better day

Of course, things don’t usually stay bad. The next day there was an amazing rainbow stretching across the highway. I could see it in the distance and I just kept getting closer and closer to it. I wish you could have been there as I drove under it – more or less – as it kind of shifted as I moved along too. But it was still pretty cool. However, as I got to a point that gave the illusion of passing under it, there was actually a double rainbow. It took me too much time to pull over to the side of the road so I couldn’t get a decent picture. But it was awesome nonetheless.
I love traveling.

The long way home

The job was done and I headed back to Oregon. Now I can do the things I want to do. So I got a truck, loaded it up, and drove across the country. It felt almost like the music days. I really love to travel.

However, the American Midwest had some of its worst flooding in many years. At one point, I had to detour because of flooding on a major highway. It was crazy.

The next day, I had to get a hotel room to avoid massive thunderstorms, hail, and tornadoes in North Dakota. The winds alone were so strong they kept pushing my truck into the other lane.

As I was by myself I could only take pictures while I drove and I always had to wait when it wasn't raining.
