Fallen Treasure

When autumn first arrives the trees are crowned with mixtures of yellows, ambers, browns, and reds. And like commoners, gathering to view a royal family, we can only see this beauty from a far distance or by leaning our heads backwards and peering high up into the lofty branches. But eventually, these crowns fall and then we, who gazed at them for so long, are able to play freely amongst piles of shattered gold and broken rubies.
