Operation Smile for the holidays

I support Operation Smile. This is a secular (i.e. non-religious), non-profit organization that sends medical teams and specialists to less developed countries to perform cleft lip and cleft palate surgical reconstruction. In these countries either the expertise does not exist or the cost is too great for the families. The difference made by the Operation Smile projects is solid and impressive. If you believe in the power of a smile – or that a child should articulate words without prejudice from other children – or a person should be able to walk down a street with dignity – or if you believe in the magic of a teenager’s first kiss – then it’s a good place to make a contribution.

Pictured above is Thanh - a boy from Vietnam (click to enlarge). I have the link above or in the sidebar. You can also find videos of more stories of other children over on You Tube.
For the story of this child go to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1py27mBY6-c

you might want to check out another super simple way to support Operation Smile every day, just by using Yahoo search. go to www.freelanthropy.com, select Operation Smile and then do your web searches. They get paid for each search. There's an Operation Smile Toolbar that you can add to your browser that makes it a little easier so you don't have to go back. either way is simple.
